Our Work

Since 2009, through AfricanBrains & ArabBrains, Brains Innovations has developed strategic relationships with government ministers, key decision-makers and industry leaders in emerging markets in Africa and the Middle East.

Our strategic consultancy services and conferences have provided high level international platforms to drive greater investment in education and advance ICT, innovation, scientific research and e-commerce. Central to this strategy is the development of long-term multi-stakeholder partnerships and cross-border technology transfers.

AfricanBrains was established in 2009 to advance investment in education and promote technological innovations across the African continent. Since then, we have built up an established network of senior ranking government and industry partners and gained a solid reputation as an expert in this field.

Our annual Innovation Africa summit has become recognised as the leading education and ICT forum in Africa, bringing together an increasing number of ministers, senior government officials, private sector investors, leading educationalists and captains of industry.

Each event presents a high level platform of dialogue through presentations, exhibitions, sponsorship, round-table and one-to-one scheduled meetings. Over the past decade, each summit has been increasingly well received as productive partnerships have been created and over $400 million of new investment has been made in education programmes, new technologies and ICT infrastructure. Presented under the patronage of host governments, Innovation Africa has taken place in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Mozambique.

The next edition of the Innovation Africa summit will take place in Ghana, 3-5 December 2019.

Building on the success in Africa, ArabBrains was launched in 2012 to forge partnerships across the Middle East to improve and enhance education across the region. ArabBrains is at the heart of driving the agenda for governments to share their challenges, service providers to develop solutions and for industry stakeholders to explore new markets.

In 2012, ArabBrains created the MENA Innovation summit, offering presentations, panel discussions and round-table meetings from high level government and industry representatives, as well as over pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings. This innovative approach to private meetings has been well received by over 500 delegates at each event, benefitting from unique access to productive dialogue across stakeholder sectors.

MENA Innovation has successfully brought together an impressive number of ministers, officials, academic institutions and ICT leaders in Egypt, Jordan and Morocco.

The next edition of the MENA Innovation summit will take place in Oman, 16-18 September 2019.
